Announcing Empowerment Giving: A New Strategy Focused on Community Assets

To leverage the work of grantees who share our commitment to families with children birth to age five, The Birmingham Foundation will launch a new giving strategy designed to empower our community non-profits, and the children and families served.

Launching in Fall 2024, our new Empowerment Giving strategy will focus on building the capacity and resilience of the SouthPittsburgh neighborhoods with which we partner. This strategy will encourage innovative solutions by empowering local leaders and organizations to accelerate sustainable change while creating lasting impacts for young children and their families beyond grant cycles.

We look forward to sharing more about our strategy, partners, and plans throughout each phase of this multi-year giving commitment.
